   The NWP Graduates say...

I didn't realize what I had really learned until I got home. Talking to my friends, I realize how much more I had done. I learned a lot about myself that I could never have learned at any other institution. At the time, I didn't understand the reasoning behind some of the actions, but everything has fallen into perspective. I look back now to the first day and compare myself to now, and I definitely changed. I learned that there is no other place that I want to be than the Academy. I loved the feeling I got when I went to bed and looked back at my day and realized all that I had accomplished. I never knew you could challenge yourself that much. Just imagine, the Academy will offer me that and so much more.

Hi from Pittsburgh. I just was thinking about the good old days at NWP - not that they were all that long ago to be considered old days, but still. Anyway, they carry the same nostalgia of a time gone by. I really miss school and seeing you all each day. I knew I liked it then, but I didn't realize how much everyone meant to me...I also think that it's funny how many of the things we had to do at school stuck. For instance, I wear khaki pants constantly and feel so (bad) if I go to school in overalls and wind pants which were my staple clothing last year...As far as my Community College classes and stuff go, I am doing well. I have my first Chem test on Friday, and everyone in my class thinks I am some kind of really smart nerd. It's sorta bad because I understand everything, and it is so easy, but for them it's so hard. I don't know, I just feel bad, but what am I going to do? Math is also really easy. On one of the first days our teacher put up a graph and asked what the equation was, thinking no one would know how to write the answer because how many people seriously know how to write the equation of an oval on sight. But alas, I knew and felt smart for a moment. No really, it is easy also, but I just wanted to let Mrs. D know how well she prepped me for all that good stuff.

I could never thank you enough for all you have done for my son. I can tell by his letters and his conversations that he left home as a boy, but is returning as a fine young man, thanks to all your hard work and help.
